When Krystal Brookes made the courageous decision to transition into the trades industry and embark on a new career path, she had a clear goal in mind. As a recently single mother of two boys, she was determined to provide a secure future for her family and break free from a challenging domestic environment.
Krystal embraced the process of becoming a successful painter and decorator entrepreneur on the picturesque Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Her journey began by joining a painting crew as an Apprentice, which eventually led her to establish her own business three years ago.
“Starting my own business over three years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, second only to choosing a career in the trades after becoming a single mom,” Krystal shared.
Passionate about her work, Krystal started sharing her knowledge and daily experiences on social media to inspire others, particularly women, to pursue fulfilling careers aligned with their passions.
Impressed by her dedication and commitment, Mas National invited Krystal to become one of our Ambassadors, helping other women discover the incredible opportunities available to them in the trades industry.
“When Mas National approached me to be their ambassador, I was thrilled! The chance to assist other women in considering a career in an industry that has brought me so much success over the past 8 years… Well, they didn’t have to convince me twice,” Krystal expressed.
“Painting is just one of the many options out there. If I can make it happen as a single mom with two kids, there’s no reason why you can’t do it too.”
